1. A stranger came up to us in a cafe and pulled Eli's hood up over his head. Apparently he thought he was cold.
2. Women sitting across from us on the bus told me to unzip Eli's jacket. Apparently they thought he was hot.
3. Eli's babysitter came by one night and after only a minute or so asked why the heat wasn't on. Apparently she thought we were cold.
4. A different Turkish woman that came by to visit asked where Eli's socks were. It is a "no no" to be without socks. Superstition has it that if a girl goes without socks her ovaries will freeze and she will become infertile...even in the summer.
