We had a low-key, but nice Christmas. Since Christmas is not celebrated here, it was just a normal work/school day for the rest of the country, and one of our co-workers even had to teach that night. Despite the fact that we were here without any family we kept busy hosting or attending meals on the 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. We were blessed to receive several boxes of packages in the mail and we're so thankful that they ALL MADE IT (quite an accomplishment considering the Turkish mail system).
