Funny Eli Sayings

1. (In a stern way to Zach who was drinking a glass of water) "Daddy, we drink with two hands."

2. (As I handed him his snack)
Me: That's goat cheese.
Eli: Goats like to eat this cheese?!?


3. (As he exited his bedroom after naptime) "Mommy did I sleep very well?"


4. (Dinner table conversation)
Eli: Where's Jesus?
Me: Jesus is in Heaven with God.
Eli: No, Jesus is on the cross.
Me: Well, he did die on the cross, but he didn't stay there. He came back to life and went to be with God. And he's going to come back for us sometime and take us to live with him.
Eli: (way over dramatic and wide-eyed) WOW! THAT'LL BE COOL!!!


5. (talking to mommy's belly) "Hey Kardeş (sibling). What are you doing in there? Are you eating dinner?"

Eli spoke his first unprompted full Turkish sentence to me tonight. He pointed to the salt and pepper and said, "Bu ne renk?" (What color is this?) He then declared "Mavi." (Blue) So the Turkish is coming along and we need to work on colors. :)
