The Saturday before Christmas, the boys (Eli, my dad, and Zach) headed out to the tree farm to get a Christmas tree. Apparently most people put their trees up way before we do because the pickins' were slim and just two hours after we got our tree the owner closed up shop for the season. Oh well, I was glad that Eli got to go on a little Christmas tree field trip. 
Then, with the tree still tied to the top of the vehicle, they stopped off at Lowe's to build a kid's project (they have awesome, FREE kid's projects at both Lowe's and Home Depot on designated Saturdays during the month).

The project?: A train engine (attachable train cars were available during the previous months).
