Eli riding bikes with his best bud. The poor kid rides that trike that is WAY too small for him, so we're planning to get him a bike for his birthday.




Ooohh...Look! No hands!


 

Our landlord showed up while we were out there. He's a very conservative, religious man so he does not say much to me (in conservative circles men shouldn't speak directly to women and vice versa). He did, however, say, "Hello. Your baby is cold. Look at his hands. He needs gloves."

There is a Turkish phrase that is often said to children: "Yerim Seni. Yerim Seni." It literally translates as "I'm eating you," but the idea is "You're so cute I could eat you up." I believe it's appropriate for this photo.  

 

An apron and safety glasses are necessities for installing a baby gate.




The outside of our apartment building. The owner of that black car  keeps a constant eye on the parking lot and has told me on numerous occasions that we park too close to him. He took the liberty of painting lines on the concrete this week so that there wouldn't be any confusion as to how close was "too close."



This is the covered parking for our building that remains empty because the entrance is too narrow and makes it nearly impossible to get a car in without damaging it. Oh well. It makes a nice bike riding area.
