Fixated and Friends

Eli is SOOOOO into music and musical instruments. We look at the music section on a kids website (http://www.starfall.com/) fairly regularly and now if you pose the question, "Who composed 'The Entertainer'?" He can say without hesitation "Scott Joplin." He does the same with "The Nutcracker" and "Peter Tchaikovsky." He must get it from Zach because I don't play a single instrument. Anyway, he gets pretty fixated on all stringed instruments. The other day I came into our main room to find him in his favorite spot (the back of the couch) intently playing his toy violin. It's a hand-me-down toy and the bow was lost before we got it so he uses a straw.

Eli's "Ah-bees" (Turkish older brothers) recently went to the U.S. for 6 weeks, and he was really bored without them around. They came back a week ago and he's been so happy to have his play buddies back!
