The New Hood

Today was the first time that the weather has been nice enough to walk around our new neighborhood. I put Noah in the stroller and we headed up to our closest market (about 5 mins. walking) for a few groceries.

We strolled a bit and found the closest playground, too.
As with many places, when the city starts to sprawl out houses and villages get knocked down and apartment buildings go up. Here's a village-type house that is located behind our building. They still use coal for heat so thick, black billows of smoke waft up in our direction.
This is the end of our street showing some rubble from other village houses that have been knocked down.
And here's the unfinished building where the pack of street dogs live. We discovered new puppies running around there this weekend.
