We've finally hit 50 degrees here in Ankara, and I couldn't be happier. The sun is shining, people are walking all over the streets (literally ALL OVER which makes driving even harder), melon sellers have their trucks set up on the sides of the roads trying to sell their produce, simitci's (see meet jeez) have their bread rings balanced on their heads and are walking up and down the streets announcing their presence, and the playgrounds are full of kids and their caretakers.
We've been spending hours outside each day.
My little Noah has NO FEAR. I don't think Eli went down a "big" slide until he was between 2.5- 3 years old. He was just too timid when it came to heights. Not Noah. The kid is a fearless monster.
This is what happens when I retrieve Noah from something that is way too big for him to be on.
This little guy is also suddenly talking up a storm - mostly English, but a few Turkish words as well.
When Eli fills up his "good behavior" sticker charts he earns rewards. This past time he was working toward seeing The Muppets movie at the cinema but, unfortunately, it left the theatre before he earned enough stickers. So, we made our own home cinema and it was just as special and much cheaper(and in ENGLISH)! We made movie tickets and everything!

you're such a cute mama! love the movie at home. but i REALLY love that it took eli so long to fill up his chart that the movie had already made it to dvd ;) adorable!
Thanks, Jihae! Though it was a rough couple weeks with behavior, he actually just missed it. The Muppets just left the theatre last week here in Turkey but was already available for download on ITunes.
