One cool November day, 4 Americans, 4 Faroese, and 1 Dane piled into a van and drove to the mountains of Bolu, Turkey. It was an uneventful drive, aside from the fact that the Faroese forced the Americans to listen to really old school Petra songs the entire way.
These families went to the mountains for rest and relaxation and to be "one with nature." Being "one with nature" included infrequent showers and zero make-up.
It also included time with man's best friend (or friends as there were three identical looking dogs to play with).
There was rest and mayhem in hammocks...
and fun and tree smacking on tire swings.
There was time with best girlfriends...
And four cut-throat games of "Ticket to Ride: European Expansion."
There was ritual dancing in front of the fireplace...
And good times had by all.
There was the miracle of 7 new born puppies
And tears when the "puppy whisperers" had to say goodbye.
It was a fun weekend!
